501371 Systems Engineer
Work Location: Huntsville, AL:Schedule: Full Time Relocation: Negotiable IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer with experience in model-based systems engineering principals to provide Systems Engineering technical services. In support of the customer at Redstone Arsenal, this candidate will assist with the development of system level requirements and conduct systems engineering analysis that will facilitate systems integration across the Army Aviation enterprise.
Job Duties:
- Evaluating parent requirements and developing system and subsystem performance requirements that are traceable and verifiable.
- Modelling requirements, functions, use cases, and behaviors in CAMEO MBSE environment.
- Working across multiple organizations to identify and define future capability and interoperability needs.
- Leading an integrated product team in development and approval of engineering products through engineering reviews and engineering milestone events.
- Developing strategies in support of PEO AVN systems engineering practices and acquisition approaches.
- Preparing briefings for senior decision makers.
Education and General Experience:
- Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering degree required, Systems Engineering preferred with 5-10 years experience supporting Army Aviation programs in a Systems Engineering function.
- Practitioner of MBSE principles with experience using CAMEO and Teamwork Cloud (TWC) and JIRA
- Proven experience with technical fundamentals in existing Army programs (e.g. ground vehicles, aviation, missile defense, long range fires/artillery, soldier systems).
- Preferred to have proven experience, exposure, and understanding with technical and operational fundamentals in Army Aviation programs.
- Experience working within the Army Aviation acquisition process.
- Experience working with Army Aviation capability developers.
- Understands requirement generation and subsequent validation/verification.
- Awareness and working knowledge of Army Science and Technology enterprise support to Army modernization.
- Expert-level understanding of core systems engineering and analysis disciplines and processes.
- Experience with lifecycle readiness from System Requirements Review through system decommissioning.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to brief programmatically, strategically, and technically to senior leadership.
- Customer focused and capable of representing the customer in community forums.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
