Lakeland is looking for a Product Development Manager for our Chemical and Disposable product lines.  As Product Development Manger you will be responsible for leading the creation and development of innovative products from concept through production.  This role ensures the highest quality and performance of our products by overseeing the entire development process, including ideation, design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.  If you are looking for an opportunity to grow, Lakeland Industries has an exciting opportunity!

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, marketing, and sales to develop product specifications
  • Work closely with engineering and manufacturing to ensure product designs are feasible and manufacturable
  • Oversee the creation of prototypes and conduct iterative testing to ensure products meet performance, safety and quality standards
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and cost-effective production
  • Ensure all applicable packaging, labeling, user manuals and instructions are appropriately integrated in product development actions
  • Ensure all product development activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful product launches
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Sales teams to understand customer needs and incorporate feedback into product design
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to protective wear

What you should have


  • 2 years Product Development experience in manufacturing, ideally in PPE
  • Effective and professional communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to analyze data and formally present results
  • Ability to manage multiple projects through to completion
  • Confidence analyzing data sets and generating reports
  • Ability to utilize and read measurement devices
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • An eye for details
  • Bachelor's degree
