This position is located in the office at our company headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Clients Come First.All decisions at CapCenter are rooted around how the client benefits. Winning solutions are those that put the homeowner or aspiring homeowner’s needs first. The Real Estate Paralegal prepares purchase transactions for closing by obtaining and reviewing documents prepared by sellers’ attorneys and drafting seller closing disclosures. The Real Estate Paralegal performs post-closing review of files returned from external settlement agents and witness only closings, including communicating with settlement agents about missing documents and updating the error tracking report.

- Excellence is a Team Sport.The Real Estate Paralegal assists Closing Operations Attorneys and Mortgage Closing Consultants in reviewing all title requirements and resolving title exception issues for purchase and refinance loans, including providing guidance on resolving judgement lien issues.
- Savings are Earned.CapCenter seeks to save our clients’ money, time, risk, and effort. The Real Estate Paralegal is responsible for verifying all lien releases and subordinations have been recorded.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Licensed Notary Public or willingness to become licensed within the first 30 days
- Prior experience working in real estate, mortgage or government-regulated industry preferred
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Strong professionalism, ethics, and character
- Ability to organize, prioritize, adapt, and respond quickly in time sensitive situations
