The Senior Accounting Analyst


role at EPIC iO plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health and accuracy of our records and in compliance with internal controls and tax regulations, focusing on the day-to-day accounting responsibilities for the AIoTside and the Latam’s entitiesof our business. The Senior Accounting Analyst will adopt and adhere to a mindset of continuous process improvement and will work alongside the Accounting Manager to optimize daily and monthly responsibilities. This role will also play a crucial part in the month-end closing,being responsible for various accounting tasks, including financial reporting and reconciliations.

Yourexpertise will help us make informed financial decisions and ensure our commitment to financial transparency. 

Responsibilities & Tasks


  • Assistance with daily/monthly/annually checklist items on the AIoT side of business  
  • Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely monthly and annual financial statementsfor Latam’s entities 
  • Reporting local accounting to US for Consolidated Financial Statement purposes 
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledgers, including posting journal entries and conducting account reconciliations 
  • Prepare journal entries to be recorded into ERP for month-end close 
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations 
  • Assist with the local and US External Audits 
  • Prepare capitalization and control of software development costs for the AIoT side of the business 
  • Owning the revenue recognition process to ensure the correct recognition and recording for the AIOT side of the business 
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations 
  • Work together with external firms on month/annual local tax and labor filings 
  • Monthly calculation of transfer price invoices 
  • Prepare and submit information for Transfer Price report to external firm 
  • Understand expense accounts and cost centers 
  • Prepare financial analyses for decision-making projects in other departments of the company 
  • Active follow-up and collaboration with other departments to solve problems related to customers and suppliers 
  • Support and prepare scenarios for other departments on administrative, financial, legal, or other issues related to the business 
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and operational efficiency within the finance department and other departments 
  • Implement best practices to streamline financial operations 
  • Additional side projects and responsibilities assigned when needed at the discretion of Accounting Manager 

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong foundation in financial reporting and analysis. Big 4 experience preferred 
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles in accordance withIFRS and US GAAP. 
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records. 
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers 
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software  
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems(e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle) 
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities  
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. 
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment 
  • Strong work ethic 

Desired Qualifications


  • CPA certification is a plus. 
  • Prior experience in the IT & Telco industry is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct ERP.
