We are looking for a skilled Sr. Designer who can combine digital and UI/UX design chops, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry to join a multidisciplinary group of creative marketers. The ideal candidate will translate complex scientific information into visually engaging and compelling designs that effectively communicate messages to healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders.
In partnership with designers, copywriters, creative directors, and client partners, the Sr. Designer will conceptualize, design, and present various deliverables for an ever-evolving website, digital advertising campaigns, social media, and other channels. Responsibilities As a Sr. Designer, you will:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client goals and translate them into impactful design concepts.
- Make copy and design updates to existing website.
- Use strong UI/UX design skills to create web pages or update the existing website, including incorporating new products, features, and more.
- Create new digital tactics and update existing tactics to meet requirements and specifications as defined by project owners.
- Create/develop tactics using Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Mac platform, and other applicable software (e.g., Figma, Google Slides, Microsoft applications).
- Establish and maintain templates in various formats to ensure alignment with client standards.
- Develop layouts and concepts of rough ideas.
- Prepare design options according to project briefs.
- Execute Brand Consistency
- Ensure that all design work aligns with the branding guidelines and regulatory requirements of pharmaceutical clients.
- Maintain a consistent and cohesive visual identity across various platforms and materials.
- Execute Pharma Communication
- Distill complex pharma information into clear and visually engaging graphics and user experiences that effectively communicate key messages to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with content experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of visual representations.
- Create engaging website experiences that entice users to take action.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and guidelines related to pharmaceutical marketing materials.
- Ensure that all designs comply with regulatory standards, including FDA guidelines.
- Collaborate with a Team
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, working closely with our internal team and the client’s team to achieve marketing objectives.
- Provide leadership and support to team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Conduct periodic team health discussions with engaged parties to identify points of tension and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain a positive, consultative, collaborative attitude when responding to critical client feedback.
- Manage Projects
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality
- Work in a fast-paced agile environment with many key stakeholders
- Collaborate with project managers, copywriters, and other team members to deliver integrated solutions
What you’ll need
- 5+ years of creative agency or related experience as a member of a creative team
- Proficient experience and comfortability working in Figma
- Proficient experience with recent versions of Adobe Creative Cloud applications (InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, XD, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro)
- Proven experience as a graphic and/or UI/UX designer, preferably with a focus on pharmaceutical or healthcare clients
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially when presenting ideas and designs to clients and stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, manage high work volumes, and deal with rapidly changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to apply all Quality and Compliance policies and procedures

- Exemplify professional experiences working with diverse teams, populations, or cultures
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
- Experience with project management approaches, including Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Experience creating modular design components (e.g., images, tables) for use in templates
- Proven understanding of typography, type treatment, and color
- Proven ability to work proactively to address customer and overall business needs
- Works well independently and in partnership with others (e.g., brand and operations colleagues)
- Meticulous attention to detail, including commitment to following brand and other defined standards
- Demonstrated ability to apply practical or technical knowledge and experience to visual brand issues where no or limited direction is given
- Works well under pressure, responds well to feedback, and keeps a positive attitude
- High level of motivation and a strong desire to find creative solutions to challenging situations
- Demonstrated ability to enforce business rules and policies in a constructive but disciplined manner
- Candidates will be expected to supply a sample of their portfolio to demonstrate expertise
