The
Sr.
IT
Systems Engineer will be responsible for creating and assisting with system administration and troubleshooting malfunctions, diagnosing failures, determining root cause, developing fix actions, and executing recovery solutions on our Windows and Linux based computing platforms. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively
A typical day in the life of the Sr. IT Systems Engineer will include but not be limited to the following:
- Oversight of VMware/VxRail virtual environments, including backups, replication, snapshots, storage, and host hardware
- Manage basic VOIP Telephony infrastructure (NICE CxOne experience helpful)
- Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of complex Windows Server and domain issues
- Hands-on management of desktop support activities to include: Imaging, hardware and software troubleshooting, hardware deploying and refresh
- Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows servers with a focus on Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and PowerShell scripting
- Manage and administer Azure VMs, Azure AD, O365 and Azure Site Recovery
- Administration of Linux servers
- Administration of helpdesk software (Service Desk Plus, JIRA, etc)
- Administration of monitoring software (Nagios, Site 24x7, DataDog, etc)
- Other duties as outlined in the PharmaCord Roles and Responsibilities matrix attached.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field with 8+ years’ experience in a large or fast-growing organization or relevant hands-on experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to work individually or as part of a team, requiring little supervision, in a very fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once.
- We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas.
- We are located in the River Ridge Commerce Center at 150 Hilton Drive, Jeffersonville, IN. You must be willing to work in this location; PharmaCord does reimburse for tolls if applicable, at the frequent user rate. This rate is applied after 40 trips per month (valued at $678.60 per year)
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- This is a full-time exempt position.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
