The Monetization Specialist will assist the marketing and editorial team in the trafficking – including production, testing, deployment, reporting and billing – of direct sold ad inventory consisting of email and web display advertisements. They will closely with the Monetization Manager to ensure that ad operations run smoothly and result in repeat business for the various media properties the team represents.
Agora Media serves as an internal agency to traffic ads for directly-managed and affiliated-managed properties of The Agora Companies, LLC. Our directly managed properties include broadly published news and perspectives in editorial and video, through brand such as Money Morning and The Horn News, which help to bring new audiences into the Agora universe through engaging financial and political content, and to monetize those names with a combination of the best performing 1st and 3rd party ad products.The Monetization Specialist will be an integral part in helping to scale our small and growing team with more efficient ad operations.

Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate with advertising clients and communicate with the accounting team on invoicing, billing, and collections processing for Agora Media.
  • Create, send, and confirm receipt of all advertising activity insertion orders for all media activity across all Agora Media publications.
  • Manage the creative submission, production, and testing of all advertising efforts across all Agora Media publications. This includes requesting creatives from advertisers based on the advertising calendar and checking creative for specific components.
  • Oversee the submission, deployment, and receipt of advertiser placement stat reports for Agora Media’s email program.
  • Help coordinate monthly ad inventory upfront sales program; assist the Advertising Director with ad sales and partnerships throughout Agora and its partner network.
  • Assist the marketing and editorial teams in creating landing pages and squeeze pages for list growth activities.

Qualifications:


  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in advertising coordination and client communication.
  • Proficiency in managing creative processes and ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Ability to handle billing and collections processes efficiently while retaining strong client relationships.
  • Familiarity with email marketing programs and reporting
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing and editorial teams in selecting creative, segments, and other aspects of a successful deployment.
