NCQA is looking for an experienced Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of NCQA’s products and services. This person must be highly motivated, technically proficient and have some clinical quality measure experience, preferably HEDIS. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining user manuals, online guides, technical specifications and other content to support NCQA products. This position plays a critical role in ensuring successful product use leading to satisfaction, loyalty, and renewal. This person will also support ongoing alignment of NCQA materials across different teams. They will be responsible for:
- Documentation, Training and Education
- Feedback Collection
- Escalation Management
Responsibilities:
Technical document creation
- Write, edit and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation. Documentation may include user guides, system manuals, FAQs, etc.
- Create and maintain content templates, style guides and documentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Create diagrams, screenshots, and other aides to enhance clarity and usability of NCQA products.
Feedback collection
- Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to gather information and understand technical details.
- Regularly review support cases to provide improvement opportunities for customer success.
- Conduct interviews and meetings with subject matter experts, customers, etc. to gather and validate information.
- Facilitate internal communication channels across teams. Provide regular reviews of processes & provide opportunities for improvement. Own and drive escalated issues blocking customer success.
Research and maintenance:
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in technical writing and documentation.
- Review and revise documentation on an ongoing basis ensuring it is up to date with latest product releases, updates, changes, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Engineering, Nursing, Medicine, Public Health.
3+ years of experience as Technical Writer or in related areas.- Strong research and technical writing skills.
- Ability to manage projects and to communicate with staff, customers and technology experts related to health care quality, digital quality and data integration.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function in minimally supervised environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- For new hires, this position pays in the range of $80K - $100K per year, depending on experience.
- This position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus, payable in accordance with policy.
