CG Life is looking for an experienced digital omni-channel marketing Creative Director. The Creative Director will be responsible for delivering thoughtful and meaningful creative solutions across various communication channels. In this leadership role, they will leverage their expertise in effective design, copy, and digital user experiences to set an example of creative excellence for their team members and internal and external project stakeholders. The creative director will lead and mentor a diverse creative team while continuing to evolve our creative process, approach and toolset.They will have proven leadership experience, highly effective communication skills and the ability to drive collaboration between various internal and external project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Leading The Creative Team
- Inspire, direct, and motivate a team of talented art directors, designers, content strategists, copywriters and producers to create industry-leading creative work in the life sciences space.
- Champion creative process and toolset evolution to increase quality, efficiency and drive continual improvement.
- Scale our creative outputs through managing, mentoring, developing, and recruiting creative talent.
- Provide ongoing training, feedback, and support to the creative teams and complete annual performance reviews.
- Ensure Resourcing Manager is appraised of any workload challenges/concerns on client accounts that may necessitate hiring freelancers or moving team members around to better utilize their time and talents. This includes advocating for time necessary to do high quality work.
- Drive internal awareness of design trends, advertising technologies, innovative media, and shifts in pop culture to ensure the creation of relevant and useful digital products, messages, or branding.
Working With Clients & Internal Teams
- Demonstrate ability to strategically collaborate with client teams, agency creative teams, and account teams.
- Establish credibility with clients at all levels by developing knowledge of client’s business–both the brand itself and stakeholders involved. Manage client relationship and lead creative meetings and presentations.
- Champion bold, transformative ideas and tether them to omni-channel marketing strategy–-thinking conceptually and ideating for holistic, digitally powered brand campaigns.
- Exceptional ability to assist with and/or present creative ideas to clients and internal team members.
- Assist with the development or review of creative briefs that provide strategic insight and creative inspiration.
- Help to educate clients on design, usability, and other creative-related best practices, trends and emerging channels.
- Pitch to high-profile senior clients with an understanding of their motivations and objectives.
- Get work live, overseeing the executive process to ensure creative excellence.
Requirements
- At least 12+ years of experience working in creative departments at agencies on omni-channel pharma clients, DAOR or AOR experience a must.
- 5+ years experience managing people and leading creative teams.
- Foundational understanding of all core creative disciplines.
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates a keen eye for effective design, copy and digital user experiences.
- Digitally savvy–with knowledge in the areas of interaction design, information architecture and user experience. An understanding of the full breadth of digital platforms and solutions nad how to steer creative outcomes across the full ecosystem.
- Ability to produce original ideas and share them with confidence.
- Exceptionally strong communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to “zoom in and out” (flipping between the big picture and finer details).
- Strong ability to provide clear creative direction and productive, timely feedback to your teams.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $165,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.This job posting is intended for direct applicants only; please, no outside recruiters.
