We are currently looking for a Payment Processor II to join our team.As the Payment Processor II you will do more than just data entry.
In this role, you will do accounting work and have the ability to determine the correct courses of action in exception processing within our business. You will also be responsible for the timely processing of payment requests.
What you will do for Fay:
- Front-end payment processing including acceptance of payments from different sources and processing through our mortgage servicing platform
- Balancing and reconciling all accounts each day and verifying that the proper funds move from/to the correct accounts
- Bank functions include wire and transfer initiation and remote check deposits
- Exception processing to determine if any payments were misapplied and correcting them in a timely manner
- Work with the accounting department to ensure all proper procedures are followed in regards to the corporate accounting laws and regulations
- Review, prioritize, and provide a timely and accurate response to tasks, email, etc
- Analyze information on a situation, problem, loan, or borrower, and make appropriate recommendations on actions
What you will bring to Fay:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a quantitative field such as Management Information Systems (MIS), Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or Economics) or equivalent; High school diploma/GED required
- 1-3 years of payment processing experience in mortgage servicing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organized
- Ability to problem solve using analytical skills and time management
- Precision in handling many sets of interlinking numbers
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and 10-key by touch
