Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Billing Process Support:
- Support on a variety of functions that take place within the entire billing cycle, from invoice generation to payment processing.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Month end payment posting support.
- Provide timely and effective support to internal customers regarding billing inquiries and issues.
- Database Management and Programs:
- Perform accurate data entry and maintenance for billing records.
- Register new customer accounts in the billing system.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Visio, etc.)
- Billing Quality Control:
- Manage billing quality control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct audits of billing data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Insurance and Medicare Billing:
- Process commercial insurance claims and follow up on claim delays and denials.
- Provide support for Medicare billing tasks.
- Customer Support:
- Explain billing statements, resolve discrepancies, and process adjustments as needed.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external customers through excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Craft fast and accurate responses to online customer reviews and questions.
- Process Improvement and Training:
- Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for billing processes.
- Develop and deliver training presentations on billing topics.
- Collaborate with IT to create and validate new technical features.
- Participates in operational excellence projects to improve our processes.
- Issue Resolution:
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve complex billing issues.
- Facilitates virtual and in-person meetings for billing related topics.

Strong knowledge of healthcare billing processes and insurance billing practices and programs is preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities but works closely with many departments and will manage projects and facilitate meetings as needed.
Education and/or Experience:
This position requires an Associate’s Degree or professional experience sufficient to allow waiver. Candidates must have 3 years experience in healthcare billing and reimbursement, training, customer relations, or other professional experience sufficient to waiver. Some leadership or project management experience preferred.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully candidates should have strong computer aptitude, including all standard Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel. Previous experience in data analytics preferred.
