Job Objective:
Monitors, maintains, and controls the safe, healthy and environmentally sound operations of the gas /oil pipelines.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Daily inspection of Company owned Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) facilities.
- Oversee oil LACT proving activities conducted by third party contractors.
- Perform routine maintenance in LACT facilities.
- Perform shake outs or grind outs using Company furnished testing equipment.
- Perform general house keeping duties inside Company operated facilities and equipment.
- Perform routine right-of-way (ROW) inspections.
- Replacement of ROW pipeline markers.
- Conduct pipeline locates using Company furnished equipment.
- Observe foreign line crossings.
- Capable of performing pipeline pigging operations.
- Oversee the work of outside contractors on Company property and/or within Company facilities.
- Coordinate with other Company departments, work groups and outside contractors.
- Ensures continuous operation of equipment by following preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Inspects piping and equipment for safety problems, leaks, wear and tear, and makes or recommends appropriate repairs and maintenance.
- Maintains safe, clean and healthy work environment by practicing pipeline standards, adhering to legal regulations, and conducting inspections.
- Monitors and maintains logs of meter readings, test results, and adjustments made.
- Capable of observing and interpreting information displayed within Company’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System

- Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
- Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Will be required to be “on call” for one weekend each month. Will be required to be available the 1st day of each month.
Qualifications:
- Two (2) years minimum pipeline experience with a combination of Gas and Liquid pipeline operations.
- Ability to accurately solve problems.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to perform work assignments with little or no supervision.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Ability to accurately perform tasks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
- Ability to make independent, rational decisions, as required.
- Ability to work alone and highly motivated.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle in and around process areas and in poor weather conditions.
- Ability to consider safety in all decisions.
- Self-starter, team player, and comfortable working under pressure.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Shall live within 50 miles of Company field office.
Education Requirements:
- Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Operator Qualifications (OQ) as required by Company
