Job description:
Comply with all internal, environmental, and safety policies, rules, and regulations.Ensure proper connection and disconnection of any hoses or pipelines.Monitor for leaks and/or spills of product and take proper corrective action.Fulfill the responsibilities identified in the Declaration of Inspection (DOI) and United States Coast Guard Manual.Load/Unload tank cars safely in accordance with procedure and regulations.Load/Unload barges/ships safely in accordance with procedure and regulations.Assist in other areas of the terminal as requested by Lead Operator/Manager.Knowledge on the requirements of site security and as outlined in the Facilities Security Plan.Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implementation of corrective actions as required.Participate in Process Safety, Risk Management and Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) related issues to assist in continuous improvement of the facility.Assist with U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration compliance throughout maintenance activities and identify possible DOT required tasks.Must be committed to working outdoors and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card.Maintain good safety awareness and housekeeping practices.Required Skills and qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.Good communication and math skills.Highly motivated individual capable of working on individual tasks and as part of a team.Attention to detail and ability to accurately complete paperwork.One year industry related experience is preferred.Process Technology degree and/or certificate is a plus.
