Position Summary:


As a Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for applying proprietary modified polyurea coating technology to tank bases in accordance with industry standards and company specifications. This role involves working in a manufacturing plant environment, collaborating with team members to ensure the efficient and precise application of coatings to enhance product durability and aesthetics.

Key Roles / Responsibilities:


  • Prepare product for coating by cleaning with high pressure air.
  • Operate coating equipment such as spray guns, rollers, or other application tools while wearing a full-body suit and face mask.
  • Transfer chemicals from bulk storage to chemical drums.
  • Apply coatings to products, ensuring uniform coverage and adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor coating process parameters and adjust as needed to meet quality requirements.
  • Conduct inspections on coated products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and address issues related to coating application, equipment malfunctions, or product defects.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks using forklifts, ensuring safe handling of materials and products.
  • Maintain and clean coating equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to meet production schedules and quality targets.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Coating Technician in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of coating materials, application techniques, and industrial best practices.
  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Must be able and willing to wear a full body suit with face mask.

Working Conditions:


  • Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, crouch, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
  • The essential duties of this position require moderate lifting and carrying no greater than 35lbs per individual on any given lift.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
  • Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.

  • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.

  • Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
  • Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
