The Product Analyst plays a crucial role in the organisation by collecting, analysing, and interpreting product and user behaviour data to provide actionable insights that drive informed decision-making.

This position involves working with large datasets, using various analytical tools and techniques, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address business challenges and opportunities. This role will be responsible for utilising expertise in data analytics, SQL, and advanced analytics, possibly including AI/ML, to enable data-driven decision-making and ensure that data becomes a strategic asset for the product organisation.

Key Responsibilities



  • Drive product impact by proposing and conducting quantitative research into key user behaviours and business trends, in partnership with product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders

  • Building automated data processes to power real-time dashboards, and building self-service reporting tools to enable others to leverage the data.

  • Creating analytical frameworks to enable efficient product experimentation, and working closely with engineers on instrumentation to ensure thorough capture of product data.

  • In partnership with or support product managers to define metrics for measuring product success, and creating the tools to effectively track and troubleshoot said metrics.

  • Thought leadership that promotes a data driven culture within the product organization. Consulting with Product Managers that need to improve their data skill sets

  • Conducting exploratory data analysis to identify product gaps, evangelising data insights to key stakeholders and defining our product roadmap.

What’s needed for this roles success



  • Advanced SQL knowledge

  • dbt experience

  • Python knowledge

  • Segment.io experience

  • Proficiency in Data Visualisation such as LookerStudio and/or LookerML

  • Advanced analytics techniques to develop predictive, prescriptive, and classification models

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong Project Management skills to organise, prioritise and deliver the highest priority analysis 

  • Integration with data teams across the organisation

  • Expectation setting for stakeholders on the key responsibilities of this role
