Inventory Control Clerk

Inventory Control Clerk manages inventory through the company database and maintains levels required on a daily basis to meet distribution demands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into computer database.
  • Close shop packets received and purge computer database.
  • Receive and issue finished goods into computer database.
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
  • Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.
  • Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights.
  • Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory.
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum one-year experience in Aerospace Inventory Control.
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
  • Training in general safety, foreign object damage awareness and quality system awareness.

Communication Skills:


  • Must be able to successfully communicate verbally and non-verbally.
  • Interpersonal skills must be excellent, and must maintain a willing, positive, can do anything attitude.

Computer Skills:


This position requires the candidate to use a variety of computer programs.  Candidate shall be confident and proficient with basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus. Lifting/carrying up to 30lbs.

Work Environment


  • Work is typically performed in an office environment, where ambient temperatures, lighting and typical office equipment are found. Occasional exposure to manufacturing areas where temperature may vary and personal protective equipment is required.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
