As an Associate for Avant’s Loan business, you will leverage analytics and technical skills to solve major business challenges. You will team with enthusiastic colleagues across different functions to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line. You will provide management insights that will influence critical business decisions.
What you'll do at Avant:
Leverages key tools and business knowledge to conduct various analyses and identifies patterns in the data; uses data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain data visualizations
Turns data and analysis into actionable insights and communicates findings for better understanding and buy-in
Independently works on analytical projects involving large amounts of data
Performs and communicates analyses to stakeholders to guide decision-making
Coordinates and assists in the analysis design, and optimize existing analytical process to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Works across an interdisciplinary team to prioritize and coordinate tasks, monitor progress and issues, and facilitate team meetings
Translates and summarizes technical and analytical information for business audiences and develop stories that help address business problems
Creates and maintains recurring marketing reports as well as ad hoc analysis
Why you are a fit for Avant:
Minimum 5 - 6 years of experience in business analytics, operations, or related role; prior experience within financial services is a plus but not required
The minimum education level required is a Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred.
Acceptable fields of study: Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Marketing, Management, Information Systems, Operations Research, Mathematics or related fields
Familiarity with analytics concepts such as databases, programming, statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization
Advanced skills in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word and/or the Google Productivity Suite (Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Docs)
Experience with SQL or Python. Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker
Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle and execute complex projects in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision and successfully meet established deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and organization
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A self-starter who is result-focused and driven
