The Event Coordinator will be responsible for administering tasks related to DCLI’s events including trade shows, conferences, sponsorships, and customer/employee entertainment. The company carries a heavy event calendar consisting of approx. 50 individual events per year.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrange meetings and conferences and administer/assist with the management the necessary and time-sensitive tasks related to conferences, customer and employee appreciation events, and sponsored third-party events
- Attend events to oversee customer engagement, work our booths at trade shows, manage on-site vendors and activities, etc.
- Secure bids and contracts for meetings and events
- Maintain the event calendar including dates, past participation, and potential conflicts
- Administer and keep track of the budget for all types of company events
- Research and analyze opportunities for greater event efficiency and cost savings
- Collect, analyze, and distribute event feedback for future decision making
- Order materials for events including show services, catering, giveaway items, branding materials, etc.
- Maintain DCLI-branded materials inventories and manage shipment for events and for sales reps’ use
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience – experience in an event management/administrative role strongly preferred, but not mandatory
- High school diploma/GED required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred, but not mandatory
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey lots of details succinctly and in a manner that they are easily understood
- Highly organized individual with excellent project management skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously
- Experience with Microsoft Office required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
