The Assistant Product Line Manager will participate in the creation of new products and features, from the idea stage to launch. Your primary responsibilities will be to help support and execute the product strategy and product launch process. Ultimately, you’ll work with internal teams to build products that fill gaps in the market and increase customer satisfaction.This position reports to the Senior Manager, Product Portfolio.Job Description
- Support lifecycle management, new product launches and product optimizations. Be a go to person for product information and status updates and assist in day-to-day operations of product line management.
- Coordinate product launch resources for Sales, Marketing and Ecomm team. Create product briefs, organize product information for cross-functional teams to execute against and coordinate launch timing.
- Manage the development of assets to support the launch of new products including labels, FAQs, sales samples, etc.
- Maintain product records and documentation. Manage accuracy and changes of product information across teams.
- Champion the market-informed product vision and strategy, work closely with stakeholders to ensure the brand identity shows through and stand up to Marketing and Sales interests. Work closely with Marketing, Sales and Ecomm to ensure the product portfolio vision is communicated and aligned with the brand messaging and team goals.
- Prepare reports to show how the product portfolio stands against the market, competitive and consumer trends, sales data, and customer feedback on a regular basis to help inform product enhancements, changes or discontinuations.
- Prepare research on market and customer trends, marketplaces, sales data and customer feedback to help support how the portfolio should be expanded or changed to best serve our customers and offer better and more competitive products.
- Stay up-to-date on the CBD industry and parallel industries for channel differentiation opportunities, category growth and unique needs.
Requirements and Skills
- 0-3 years in Product Management/Marketing/Development or related experience working for fast paced CPG companies.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, a related field or equivalent working experience. Product Management experience or education is a plus.
- Solutions-oriented, proactively proposing new product and process ideas
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and adapt to new situations
- Skilled in preparing documents and presentations without a template or provided structure
- Excellent communicator, able to build trusted relationships and clearly articulate key value propositions, processes and performance among cross-functional teams
- Data-driven, with experience doing basic data analytics and high familiarity with market research, consumers’ behavior and marketing techniques
- Knowledge or experience in the cannabis and/or health & wellness industry is a plus
- Desired Software experience: Adobe Creative Cloud
