Role Overview


We are looking for a knowledgeable, action-oriented Staff Accountant who has a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and can efficiently complete assigned tasks while working seamlessly with other members of the team. You will have the opportunity to tackle a variety of areas of accounting and help to guide us through rapid company expansion. This role will have the autonomy to make critical business decisions and make a direct impact on Qwick’s financial processes!

Functions of the Role 


  • Maintaining financial records, schedules, and general ledger accounts.
  • Assisting with month-end close processes including preparing journal entries, analyses, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and customer refunds; researching discrepancies and finding the appropriate solution.
  • Daily bookkeeping of all credit card transactions, ACH vendor payments, and all other miscellaneous bank activity via Quickbooks Online.
  • Maintaining financial data quality while managing large amounts of data in the Accounts Receivable database.
  • Partnering closely with the Sales Team to assist with invoicing discrepancies.
  • Assisting with the annual audit and tax cycle documentation and analysis.
  • Meeting processing and reporting deadlines with a high level of accuracy and urgency.
  • Responding to information requests and annual business form submissions.
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Partnering closely with the Controller and A/R Manager to perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

  • You have proven knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, simple payroll, invoicing, reconciliations, month-end close cycles, and financial statement analysis

Requirements and Qualifications


  • Bachelor in accounting or finance
  • 2+ years in a fast-paced accounting role responsible for complex accounting like accruals and deferrals
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (similar to Routable, Divvy, Quickbooks Online, Invoice Ninja, Gusto)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets and Google Suite
  • Experience with ERP systems highly preferred
  • Based in Phoenix, AZ however, remote position.
