POSITION SUMMARY


  • The Cultivation Associate is responsible for supporting and assisting the Cultivation Flowering Supervisor(s) and Manager(s) in all aspects of cannabis plant management within the department. Associates will be responsible formaintaining the flowering room(s) and accomplishing all harvest processes of the plant. Priorities include transplanting, plant pruning, defoliating, trellising, integrated pest management, harvesting, bucking, trimming, drying, binning, curing, waste disposal, and cleaning for all plants, tools, and work areas in the department. 

POSTION ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Perform all day-to-day plant routine maintenance throughout the growth, harvesting and cure stages 
  • Follow proper plant pruning, moving, trellising harvesting, trimming, drying, and curing processes and protocols according to company guidelines 
  • Conduct routine cleaning tasks to ensure a clean and tidy work area 
  • Assist with daily inspections for pests, pathogens, mold, fungi, disease, or other undesired conditions  
  • Regularly update logs pertinent to job scope  
  • Assist in other duties as assigned to ensure the team, department, and company division maintain success 

POSITION SCHEDULE


  • 4 days a week, 10 hour shift, includes 1 weekend day 
  • Full Time position

COMPENSATION


  • Starting at $17.00/Hour, experience dependent.  
  • Paid on a bi-weekly basis

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES


  • Professional experience in a fast paced, hands-on work environment  
  • Willing to ask questions to gain necessary expertise

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Horticulture and/or Agriculture experience, 1+ years (preferred)  
  • Production/Manufacturing experience, 1+ years (preferred)  
  • Cannabis Industry experience (preferred)  
  • Basic math, organizational, and computer Skills  
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED   
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted 
  • Active and valid government issued photo identification 
  • 21 years of age or older 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Dispensing Organization Agent Identification Card (obtained upon hire) in accordance with State law.

WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Work involves physical exertion such as bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), kneeling, squatting, pivoting, and carrying items/ product on a regular basis. Employees will be required to stand for extended periods and may need to climb ladders or operate equipment. The warehouse/ facility environment may be subject to hot and cold temperatures, and ventilation may not be available in all areas. The warehouse environment may be subject to elevated noise volumes due to equipment, machinery, and the movement of goods. The warehouse/ facility may be subject to dirt, dust, cleaning solutions, chemicals, and debris from the handling of goods. The warehouse/ facility may have safety hazards such as slippery floors, moving equipment, and the presence of hazardous materials. You will need to follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment as needed.
