Finishing Operations Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide effective leadership through communication, coaching, training, and development to foster a positive work environment.
  • Resolve employee issues and facilitate improved working relationships.
  • Oversee the manufacturing schedule to ensure optimal workload distribution and maximize productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA regulations, safety, and timely delivery.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance overall operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Generate necessary reports to monitor and support operational targets.
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.
  • Implement and manage policies related to Lean Manufacturing, quality, cost reduction, safety, customer satisfaction, and employee relations.
  • Investigate and introduce process improvements to optimize workflow and increase ROI.
  • Regularly interact with the executive team and departmental supervision to align operational priorities with company goals.

Qualification and Education Requirements:


  • College Degree, High School Diploma, Trade School Certificate, or equivalent.
  • Two to five  years of related experience in a machine shop manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Respond promptly to customer needs; solicit feedback to improve service.

  • Exhibit strong listening and comprehension skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, especially Word and Excel.

Physical Demands:


  • The role requires sitting, standing, and walking in both office and shop environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

Work Environment:


  • The work environment includes moderate noise levels typical of a manufacturing facility.
  • Onsite presence is required with flexible hours to interact with various shifts.
