Job Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer, with experience in developing scalable application components, which are remotely deployed and are used to extract and push large volumes of data in a data warehouse solution, to join our growing company and be a part of our success story. We are looking for an individual with great attention to detail, who is genuine, confident, committed, open to learn, passionate about technology, and excited to work in a fun and friendly fast paced environment.The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, a quick learner and able to work with some guidance.
Your team: The Usage tribe at BlueOptima caters to all current and upcoming product changes in Developer Analytics, which is our core product. As an AssociateSoftware Engineer in the Usage team, you will be directly contributing to development of the Developer Analytics product using Spring Boot, Hibernate and Core Java, and the React Framework.Responsibilities and tasks:
Take part in software and development activities
Debug application issues
Participate actively in the team meetings
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 1-3 years experience in Java and J2EE/Java EE
Demonstrable java coding experience, has good knowledge of Java APIs such as Collections, Concurrency. Can create good unit tests. Very good understanding of OOPs concepts, web application programming either with a framework or using servlet api
Commitment to accomplishing the task at hand and identify the fastest and most reliable way to solve a problem
Understanding of SQL concepts and ability to write queries
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong debugging skills
Experience using task tracking systems e.g. Jira and distributed version control systems e.g. Git
Good to have (Technical requirements/ Previous experience):
Experience with RESTful API development
Understanding of spring framework and is familiar with Dependency Injection, Spring MVC, advantages of each. [Desired]
Experience with web application servers like JBoss. [Desired]
Experience using build tools e.g. Maven, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
