The Director of Reporting & Analytics will support a cross-functional cohort of analysts to support our data-driven strategy.
This role will involve developing and maintaining comprehensive reporting systems, driving insights through advanced analytics, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making. The director will align closely with various business units to ensure data assets are shared, reusable, and under appropriate controls, and will drive initiatives to improve data governance, reconciliation, and self-service capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Report and Dashboard Development: Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed, insightful reports and dashboards that support business applications and analytics.
- Data Strategy Implementation: Ensure alignment of reporting and analytics with the overall data strategy, incorporating new insights into data assets.
- Continuous Improvement: Continually refine reporting processes and dashboard designs to enhance performance, quality, and alignment with business needs.
- Advanced Analytics: Conduct and oversee in-depth ad hoc analysis to provide actionable insights for business decision-making.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and address data challenges to improve business outcomes across financial, commercial, and operational domains.
- Customer Collaboration: Work closely with business users to refine data requests and tailor solutions to produce easily consumable, actionable outputs.
- Technology Adoption: Champion the latest data technologies and methodologies, staying ahead of industry trends to elevate team productivity and platform functionality.
- Governance and Reconciliation: Implement data governance practices, ensuring documentation, reconciliation, and data transparency.
- Self-Service Enablement: Develop and promote self-service data capabilities to empower domain experts and other stakeholders.
- Community Building: Foster a community of data practitioners across business units by coordinating efforts and sharing knowledge through our data governance platform, promoting collaboration and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and analytics, with a proven track record in driving insights at the highest level of an organization.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL, reporting tools, and analytical tools.
- Analytical Skills: Expertise in advanced analytical techniques such as segmentation, cohort analysis, and time series analysis.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the payments sector with comprehensive knowledge of payment processing with special attention on revenue forecasting and profitability analytics.
- Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills with the ability to drive a culture of data-driven excellence.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with various teams and stakeholders including strong experience supporting a management team.
Compensation:
The base compensation range for this role is 200-210k. The salary range displayed reflects an average base salary range for the position across all the US. The base salary offered to an applicant could be higher or lower based on each applicants specific skill set, depth of experience, relevant education or training, etc. The base salary range listed excludes commission/ bonus/ equity or benefits.
