Maintenance Technician


This position requires extensive knowledge in specialized functions. A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with and understanding of both general and specific phases of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

Maintenance Technician Duties:


  • General maintenance of building and offices at TurbineAero.
  • Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
  • Work with the Preventive Maintenance System.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and continuous operation of water treatment system
  • Responsible for shop hazardous waste pick up.
  • Responsible for shop hazardous waste packaging per EPA requirements
  • Responsible for shop hazardous waste onsite storage per EPA requirements.
  • Responsible for shop hazardous waste manifesting for shipment per EPA requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring HS&E representative schedules hazardous waste shipments within EPA time limits after packaging.
  • Responsible for ensuring 70,000 sq ft of shop floor is cleaned with Tennant Floor Scrubber the 1st week of every month at a minimum.
  • Responsible for identifying unsafe conditions found anywhere on the property to the Director of Maintenance.

Requirements

Maintenance Technician Requirements:


  • Five years of job related experience.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work under adverse conditions.
  • Must possess or secure required proper hand tools.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina and dexterity
  • Must be able to work with minimal to no supervision on basic and preventative maintenance.
  • Work with and under the direction of the Sr. Maintenance Tech and/or supervisor on projects.
