Staff Accountant 
Headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, Fullbay is the number one cloud-x``based shop management software for heavy duty repair shops and is growing fast. As the Staff Accountant, you will work closely with the Controller and assist the accounting department with daily, monthly and annual tasks and activities. Your role will include management of accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales tax compliance, payroll, and support for month end reporting.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Accounts Payable:

  • Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage payment schedules and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and manage vendor relationships.
  • Maintain accounts payable reports and records.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Track and manage incoming payments.
  • Apply deposits timely and accurately.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in resolving customer inquiries and disputes.

Payroll:

  • Payroll process support for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports.
  • Create and enter bi-weekly payroll journal entries.

Month-End Closing:

  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Reconcile monthly sales tax reporting in Avalara
  • Conduct month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations.
  • Ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Journal Entries & Reconciliations:

  • Prepare and post journal entries for various transactions.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.

Additional duties:

  • Assist with annual financial audit and tax filings. 
  • Special projects as needed.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and compliance regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Work Experience:Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, preferably in a SAAS environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Salesforce, and Avalara a plus. 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills and experience with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Google Suite.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding expectations
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening skills
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Customer service focused with the ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Strong troubleshooting, conflict resolution and problem solving ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to demonstrate patience, empathy, and ability to be passionately communicative.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency with 10-key typing and data entry.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.   
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Type on a computer keyboard and look at a computer monitor, and operate a cell phone or a computer-based phone.
