The Onboarding Consultant team ensures that customers love us and our products.
We are held accountable for ensuring customers' success and that their experience with Carbon is positive. The Onboarding Consultant will guide customers through the site requirements and ensure customers’ sites are prepped prior to printer installs. The Onboarding Consultants are customers’ direct point of contact for any site preparation questions and will be expected to help balance multiple customers efficiently. The Onboarding Consultant will also need to stay informed of all changes that could affect site prep and work with our Education team to improve the documentation provided to our customers consistently. The onboarding consultant is also responsible for assisting customers with the reinstallation process when they decide to move their printers. Carbon is a dynamic work environment, and Onboarding Consultant will need to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic business with ever changing needs and priorities.
This is a temporary position that is based onsite at our Redwood City, CA office.
You will...
• Ensure customers complete all site prep requirements for safe and efficient workspaces prior to installation• Operate as the lead point of contact for customers on all site preparation questions and activities• Work with multiple contacts at a customer site to ensure the facility is prepped prior to installation• Communicate clearly the progress of each customers’ site prep to internal stakeholders• Meticulously document progress of each customers’ site prep and update installation schedules• Successfully transition customers to the Support team once site preparations are complete• Stay up to speed on all product changes that affect site preparation requirements• Own customer-facing site prep documentation, including verifying content accuracy, keeping the content updated, making it easier to internalize requirements and improving verbiage, diagrams and visual assets• Work with subject matter experts, if needed, to help customers optimize their workspaces• Assist customers with the reinstallation process (providing them with the quote, making sure the new site is ready for the reinstallation, and scheduling the reinstallation)

• Excellent customer-facing/interpersonal skills• Excellent problem-solving skills• Experience in customer-facing facilities or IT role• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail • Very strong organizational skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including working with customers over the phone• Ability to successfully adjust to daily and weekly schedules & priority changes • Ability to work across multiple functional teams and be an exceptional team player with a diverse group of teammates • Ability to work with various tools, i.e., Salesforce, Tableau, Spike, Google Sheets, Oracle Service Cloud • Ability to embrace change and work well in a fluid and dynamic business environment, adjusting to changing customer requirements and expectations • Ability to learn quickly and have a solution-oriented mindset• Must be able to take the initiative & take action, including problem-solving and obtaining answers from the correct departments & teams when needed • Strong operational rigor• BA/BS degree or equivalentPreferred skills...• Experience in prepping customer sites for capital equipment installations• Experience with DLP, SLA or FDM 3D printing technologies• Experience working in a Start-Up• Experience in a customer facing roleAt Carbon, we look at the person holistically and carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00 per hour.
