Software Engineer @ Assignar

We are seeking a full-stack engineer to help develop product features and collaborate with colleagues in design, product and engineering in a high performing team. You will be building at the core of our product, working on operational enhancements that include scheduling, time tracking, field to office communication and more.
What you'll do:
- Develop new product lines with new critical features and enhance legacy features, using our techstack which includes Typescript/React, Python/Django, GraphQL, MaterialUI and Ionic within an AWS Cloud environment
- Collaborate with your cross-functional squad in a high performing and supportive environment.
- Deliver quality code for the web and mobile applications in a timely fashion with a solid sense of prioritisation.
- Ensure both your colleagues and yourself are producing high quality code through testing and code reviews
- Share your knowledge with your squad and mentor junior developers
- Show your passion for working in technically challenging development with endless opportunities to learn.
- Own and implement cross-functional initiatives for end-to-end, user-facing functionality.
- Be self-driven, take ownership of initiatives, make pragmatic technical decisions, and know when to ask for guidance or help.
Experience required for the role:
- Frontend / Mobile Software Development experience with some of the following technologies: Typescript, React, Ionic, and/or MaterialUI
- It will be preferred if you have experience in full-stack application development, REST and GraphQL API design, particularly with Django (open to candidates who are willing to learn our technical stack)
- Demonstrated experience implementing, maintaining and deploying full-stack web and/or mobile technologies
- Experience in translating design wireframes into functioning UI components
- Familiarity with feature flag-based continuous integration and deployment
- Strong English communication skills (both verbal & written)
- Strong understanding of standard Software Engineering processes, Testing, and Agile methodology
- A team player that always puts colleagues ahead of yourself and has a highly adaptable and versatile approach to work
- You are passionate about learning and sharing your knowledge, and not afraid to challenge your peers, but also welcome being challenged
- Must have legal rights to work in Australia on a full-time basis.
