PotlatchDeltic Land and Lumber is currently seeking candidates for the Process Control Technician position at their Warren, AR Lumber Mill.  Successful candidates will prepare equipment for production, regulate quality production, maintain specifications within operations, and resolve production problems as they arise.  This position is also responsible for performing preventative maintenance, monitoring equipment, making logic adjustments to optimize performance and lumber production, working as a team with production and maintenance team members, and performing various other duties, as assigned.


The hourly rate of pay for this position is $36.41.


Essential Job Functions:


  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  • Wear all essential PPE.
  • Work safely at all times and with consistency.proc
  • Perform quality performance and recovery tests on optimizers.
  • Troubleshoot problems during production and between shifts.
  • Create new and modify existing programs to ensure quality and recovery.
  • Maintain and modify control systems as needed.
  • Record all activities in programming of PLC’s.
  • Complete required checklists: safety, maintenance, and production.
  • Ability to attend required training, as scheduled.

Working Conditions:


  • Office and manufacturing environment
  • Cold, heat, dust, noise, snow, and icy conditions
  • Near moving machinery and equipment

Essential Physical Functions:


  • Some mental/physical fatigue from computer terminal use.
  • Climbing stairs and catwalks at elevated levels.
  • Standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, balancing, pushing and pulling as work requires.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma with additional specialized training in Programmable Logic Controllers, electrical fields and/or computer sciences required.
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Electronics or related field preferred
  • 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance
  • Competent computer skills with both DOS and Windows operating systems including basic networking.
  • Proficiency with electrical schematics with the ability to modify and update drawings, if needed
  • Current state journeyman electrician’s license preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a qualifying Process Control exam.
  • Must be willing to work night shift and/or weekends.
  • NCRC Certification preferred.
