The Company recently raised $458 MM in its latest opportunistic fund, marking a key milestone for the company. We are seeking a DIRECTOR OF MARKETING at Belmar Shopping Center. This position is responsible for creating and implementing events and revenue generation through the sale of property and media assets, as well as the creation, development and implementation of the overall strategic marketing direction of the shopping center. The is an in-person role based in our Belmar office in Lakewood, Colorado.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, create and sell revenue opportunities through strategic positioning of property assets, media assets, and property programming to achieve the financial sales goals of the property.
- Develop and nurture strong community relationships to attract new events and potential partnerships to the property.
- Create and implement annual marketing plan.
- Project manage the creation, delivery and optimization of marketing campaigns – from large/complex to short/specific – that deliver on the value proposition of the annual marketing plan.
- Source and manage local agency partners (i.e., PR agency, event agency, social media management agency, creative contractor, sponsorship agency, website management, etc.).
- Deliver creative and flawlessly executed events and activations as outlined in the marketing plan, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Focus all efforts on enhancing the property, driving traffic/sales, and increasing brand awareness.
- Assist with managing the Belmar Promotional Association and Common Consumption Area.
- Coordinate shopping center visual merchandising, signage and advertising programs.
- Maintain effective media relations by fielding media calls and preparing responses.
- Focus on exponentially driving growth of our social media channels, including fan base for Facebook and Twitter (social connections), as well as an increase in data collection, SMS and Email (subscribers).
- Become a critical member of the management team.
- Assist with managing center policies and procedures while maintaining positive tenant relations.
- Assist with managing the on-street paid parking program.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in sales, marketing, business or related field of study.
- 4-6 years previous experience in sales, sponsorship, strategic marketing, event management, and budgeting.
- Knowledge of retail management, marketing and advertising and working knowledge of the media industry.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, selling, and negotiation skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy when interacting with others.
- Superior computer skills combined with the ability to effectively communicate verbally, visually, and in writing are essential to success.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively solve problems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in copywriting and proofreading.
- Strong organization and coordination skills, and the ability to think strategically.
- Strong team building and coaching skills.
- Ability to organize work, and engage in multiple projects simultaneously, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize a heavy workload, and work independently.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel and Google Docs and social media platforms.
