Job Description:
At Lumifi Cyber, we emphasize practical, effective cybersecurity strategies, focusing on building robust and reliable infrastructures. We are currently seeking a Senior Elastic Engineer who will play a vital role in developing a new Elastic infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing efficient search and data analytics solutions, ensuring optimal system performance and scalability. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing and maintaining a stable, effective system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Elasticsearch Cluster Management:
- Lead the development and maintenance of Elasticsearch clusters.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning of Elasticsearch systems.
- Backend System Development:
- Develop and maintain backend systems using modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Focus on building scalable, efficient backend services and APIs.
- Data Ingestion and Management:
- Manage the ingestion of network data into the Elastic Stack (ELK – Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Airflow).
- Optimize data processing pipelines and storage solutions.
- Automated Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests to ensure the integrity and reliability of software.
- Participate in code reviews and quality assurance processes.
- Microservice Architecture Development:
- Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of a distributed microservice architecture.
- Ensure that microservices are well-designed, efficient, and seamlessly integrated.
- Document system functionality, APIs, and operational procedures for both users and the development team.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Minimum 5 years of TypeScript (ES6+) development experience, with a strong emphasis on backend development.
- Extensive experience in Elasticsearch, including:
- Designing and setting up Elasticsearch clusters from scratch.
- Configuring indexes, managing sharding and partitioning strategies.
- Implementing aliases and optimizing cluster performance.
- Experience in Elasticsearch cluster maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Elastic Stack:
- Hands-on experience with the entire Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), particularly in configuring and managing these tools in production environments.
- Strong communication skills in both writing and speech.
- Ability to problem-solve and think critically.
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
