Who You Are:
You are a builder. You have several years of experience of building complex electrical and mechanical assemblies to the highest standards of quality. Everything you do looks clean and professionally installed. You like building new and interesting prototypes and giving feedback to the engineering team on possible improvements. You take on all sorts of DIY projects and challenges and probably drive a car that’s maintained or even built by yourself.
What Excites You:
- Manufacture, test and troubleshoot prototype and alpha phase units of Spot AI’s future generation products.
- Work side by side with the design engineering team to build something that's never been built before. Give feedback to make the next one better
- Able to write and document procedures and SOPs
- Proven builder/maker experience in automotive, nautical , robotics or home improvement is very interesting to us.
What Gets Our Attention:
- 5 years of electro mechanical assembly and build experience in a production or prototyping environment. Technical military experience is also accepted.
- Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools as well as multimeter and oscilloscope
- Can read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams fluently
- Can perform cable routing and cabinet wiring in a tidy and professional manner
- Ability to align, fit, or assemble electrical and mechanical components for various subsystems and and/or power panels
- Ability to perform tasks that require lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Can safely and efficiently use ladders to reach and work at elevated heights
What’s In It For You:
- Base Salary Range: $35/hr - $45/hr, depending on prior experience.
- This is a 1099 contract position.
- This role is part-time, and candidates can expect to work 24 hours per week to start. Hours may increase over time.
- Candidates must be able to work from our Hayward, CA office 3 days per week.
- The expected start date is August 15, 2024, and the duration of the contract is 16 weeks.
