Role Overview
As the Creator Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for revenue growth and cost efficiency of the influencer and affiliate marketing programs and for growing revenue through partnerships with organizations. You will build and nurture relationships with content creators, influencers, and partners to drive revenue growth and product adoption. You will work closely with our marketing, product, and data teams to develop and execute partnership strategies that align with our business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Creator Partnership Development: Identify, engage, and establish relationships with key content creators, influencers, and partners in the audio and video content creation space.
- Organization Partnership Development: Identify, engage, and establish relationships with brands used by Descript’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), including educational video platforms, content creation communities, etc.
- Strategy Execution: Develop and implement partnership strategies that drive product adoption and revenue growth.
- Campaign Management: Collaborate with marketing and product teams to design and execute branded campaigns, events, and initiatives.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze the performance of partnership initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging platforms to identify new partnership opportunities.
- Content Collaboration: Work with creators to produce high-quality content that showcases Descript's capabilities and value proposition.
- Community Engagement: Foster community among partners and creators, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or influencer marketing, preferably within the B2B SaaS industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the content creation landscape, including familiarity with platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and podcasting networks.
- Relationship Building: Proven track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with creators, influencers, and industry partners. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey Descript's value proposition to potential partners.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute partnership strategies that align with business objectives.
- Communication Skills: You can effectively sell your ideas internally through well-written docs and clear verbal communication
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data and metrics to measure the success of partnership initiatives.
- Team Collaboration: Strong team player who can work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and data teams.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in B2B SaaS content creation and editing companies (e.x. Opus Clips, Captions.ai, Veed.io, Camtasia, or Sythesia)
- Familiarity with content creation tools and platforms.
- Experience in managing large-scale partnership campaigns and events.
- Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing strategies.
The base salary range for this role is $130,000-$175,000. Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, and location, and they may vary from the amount above.
