About Found
The self-employed workforce is a rapidly growing, resilient, and colorful 60 million Americans. But self-employment comes with its own set of challenges: navigating taxes, accounting, bookkeeping, and business banking are just a few. That’s where we come in.Found is building tools that give self-employed people the security and peace of mind that has historically only been possible at big corporations. We’re a business bank account that automates taxes and expense tracking because we believe small business owners should spend more time doing what they love and less time on their business finances. We’re looking for kind, resourceful, and passionate people to join us in building the safety net for self-employment.
About this role:
Thanks for your interest in Found! We're looking to add an exceptional product manager to join the Found team and take over ownership of a core area of Found's product experience. The ideal candidate is someone who is a true business owner and delights in finding new opportunities, defining them, and executing against them to drive the business forward. The Banking Product team is central to how Found operates and is responsible for building a world class banking product that self employed people love.
Found’s product strategy relies upon providing reliable, fully featured checking accounts to our users that have additional small business features built on top of them. While the thing our users love about us compared to other banks are often the features built on top of our bank accounts (such as bookkeeping, taxes, contractor management), core banking features need to always “just work”. Building, maintaining, and monitoring reliable ways for our users to move their money is crucial to Found’s success. This is a full stack team with its own designers, engineers, and product analysts.
Day to day, you will:
Build & maintain the roadmap for your Banking, leveraging research and data insights to prioritize feature improvements and net-new feature buildout.
Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and Compliance to bring this roadmap to life, ensuring feature launches are bug-free, hit SLAs, and are fully compliant with regulations governing this space.
Drive OKRs, Quarterly goal-setting, and regular check-ins on progress-against-goals for your business area.
To thrive in this role, you have:
8+ years in a PM capacity, leading end-to-end user-facing product development. Direct previous experience working on payments or money movement is required.
You have a track record of building 0 → 1 business opportunities that delight customers and deliver business value. You’re a self-starter and don’t need a highly-defined problem statement/ space to jump in and add value immediately.
You are a business-minded product owner. You delight as much in understanding what the business needs and owning core business KPIs as you do in building user-facing experiences. You’re a strategic thinker and enjoy having a seat at the table in setting company-level strategy.
Data-driven prioritization bias- you are finger-tippy with data and excited to build a roadmap prioritized by both quantitative and qualitative inputs.
You may also have:
Have outstanding in-person & written communication skills. Your superpower is explaining complex concepts to your teammates, your cross-functional partners, and your users in a clear, concise, and actionable manner!
Experience working with ACH transfers, wire transfers, RTP, bill pay, reconciliation.
Have an owner mindset- you are always pushing the boundaries of the user experience and advocating for the customer. You bring the team along with you by regularly sharing roadmaps, prioritization tradeoffs, and wins/ learnings.
Experience or interest in financial services, accounting, and self-employment.
