As a Sales Executive at First Orion, you will be responsible for generating new sales by developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of prospects and opportunities. This role involves executing planned sales strategies, booking prospect meetings through various methods like cold calling and attending industry events, and managing limited evaluations with a sense of urgency and accountability.
What you'll be doing:
New Sales – Planning and Execution:
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects and opportunities.
- Book consistent prospect meetings through cold calling accounts, attending industry networking events and using your contacts in prospective accounts.
- Manage evaluations in a coordinated way with your team ensuring accountability and a sense of urgency throughout the process.
- Use Salesforce.com to manage sales pipeline, keep accurate records of interactions with prospects, notes on competitors and proposals sent.
- Provide weekly updates to your leader with detailed feedback and reporting of opportunities in various stages of the sales cycle.
Customer Focus and Business Development:
- Develop a working knowledge of the industries that First Orion covers.
- Develop a knowledge of the industry landscape including all competitors, products, pricing and differentiators.
- Effectively learn and articulate the value story of First Orion products and services.
- Establish and maintain a sound understanding of clients’ strategy, workflows, and key drivers behind clients’ need for change/buying decisions.
- Provide client/prospect feedback to sales and management.
Growing Existing Relationships:
- Maintain an account /territory plan to execute on objectives. Review and manage plan throughout the year which will include quarterly reviews of such plans with your leader.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key influencers/stakeholders across your client base; this includes developing multiple relationships at different levels. (senior, mid, junior)
- Assist with onboarding new clients, provide training and guidance on how to how to maximize the value of our service.
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and updated notes and feedback from clients in SFDC.
- Develop a clear understanding of First Orion’s compliance policies and any customized client compliance protocols.
What you'll need:
- Prior experience in sales related to data products or the telecommunications industry with track record of finding and closing opportunities, with excellent achievement of individual objectives.
- Broad base knowledge of the sales process from lead generation to relationship management.
- Mature communicator capable of handling high-profile clients with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in written and verbal form.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Superior time management skills.
- A desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
