Your Mission:


This is an exciting opportunity to both lead an extensive residential wellness program and work across multiple locations in Chicago, overseeing scheduling operations across the entire market.You will be responsible for the management of the resident experience at Porte Apartments, including leading group fitness classes and planning wellness-focused events, while providing the highest level of customer service. You will be resident facing, provide anticipatory service, be extremely detail oriented, and maintain a high level of professionalism with all levels of stakeholders.You will also own the coordination of personnel support across the market for planned and unplanned time off.

During your time in this role, you will bring daily joy to hundreds of people who live at Porte Apartments and across our Chicago market. You will create deep and meaningful relationships with the building’s management team, residents, and external partners, ensuring they never want to see your team leave. Your legacy will include bringing wellness and peak performance to the masses and you will lead the team to become a lasting fixture in the community.

What You’re Responsible For:


  • Wellness Programming: Act as the onsite wellness expert by planning and executing an array of wellness-focused programming. Plan and lead group fitness classes to the resident population. Provide timely and professional communication to members before and after sessions to ensure a hospitality-focused experience.
  • Chicago Site Operational Support: Directly support other Chicago market site operations by overseeing the coordination of schedules and coverages. This includes: management of a roster of contract employees, teaching fitness classes, supporting and executing events, administrative duties such as data entry, and ensuring the facilities are well maintained and welcoming.
  • Marketing and Communication: Implement and oversee marketing strategies and communications, including newsletters, email campaigns, digital marketing, and printed materials to engage residents.
  • Resident Satisfaction and Engagement: Prioritize resident satisfaction by actively engaging with residents to understand their needs and preferences. Implement innovative strategies and programs to enhance their experience, fostering a vibrant and connected community that drives long-term loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Building Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the building maintenance and operations teams to ensure the facility is well maintained.

Who You Are: Baseline Requirements:


  • You have 3+ years experience developing wellness-based programs and teaching group fitness classes. You may have worked as a manager of a boutique fitness studio or an internal wellness program manager for a corporation.
  • You have 1+ years experience in operational administrative tasks such as staff scheduling and/or coordinating meetings.
  • Even better if your experience has touched the corporate fitness or wellness sector.
  • You must be comfortable teaching multiple formats of group fitness classes to groups of all sizes.
  • You are proficient with both the Google suite (what lulafit uses) and Microsoft Office (what our clients use).  Don’t worry, you don’t need to be great at PowerPoint nor super savvy with Excel.

  • You are a stellar communicator.  You are known for clearly communicating your points - whether in email or verbally.  In this role you’ll be communicating a lot about bookings (both coordinating them and confirming), sending vendor communications, and engaging with different levels of stakeholders (office managers to C-Suite).
  • A flexible and adaptable entrepreneur. You thrive in an ever changing environment. You can instinctually reprioritize your tasks based on changing demands, and can keep a level head and hospitality mindset through these changes. You are able to work autonomously and consistently aim to anticipate colleague and tenant needs.
  • Creative and innovative mindset. You are an authentically curious person. You consistently envision new possibilities and generate ideas beyond conventional boundaries. You have an inclination to tackle challenges with original approaches, seeking unique ways to address issues and improve existing methods.
