The Cascade PBS’s mission is to inform and inspire our community to make the world a better place.Our vision is to be the most essential and relevant media organization in the region.The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing complex projects from initiation through completion and developing the discipline of project management at Cascade PBS. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget, and aligning project goals with the strategic direction of the organization.

The Project Manager will use their extensive experience and expertise to drive project success and deliver value to stakeholders while demonstrating Cascade PBS’s values of integrity, community, innovation and diversity.Pay rate: $90,000-$100,000Seattle, hybrid schedule available

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES


  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation. Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
  •  Establish and develop a Project Management Program to standardize project management processes, improve project governance, and enhance the overall project performance across the organization.
  • Lead and act as a business partner to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Provide clear direction, support, and motivation to team members.
  •  Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  •  Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and address risks proactively to minimize impact on project outcomes.
  • Coordinate with departmental managers to allocate resources effectively. Ensure the availability of necessary resources and skills for project success.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability. Report on budget performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality. Implement quality control processes and conduct regular reviews to maintain project integrity.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project management. Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
  • Collaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth of the Cascade PBS

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES


  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent project management experience. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects. 
  • Advanced understanding of MAM systems, transfer/storage platforms, playback systems (local/streaming), and current industry trends in streaming and post-production preferred. 
  • Experience actively managing projects focused on media production/digital content delivery is highly desirable.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired – not required. Additional certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • BS Technical discipline or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience in broadcast/media production technical services preferred
  • Two years’ management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Business Process Architecture/Analysis experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time 
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods 
  • Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
