Junior Account Executive, Higher Education (Remote)

We are seeking an early career Account Executive to join our team. The Account Executive’s primary responsibility is to generate opportunities and successfully close sales.  Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of sales objectives to a defined set of accounts.  You will cultivate customer loyalty, maintain customer relationships, renew, upsell, and cross-sell, for a best-in-class customer experience. This role will be single-product focused, directly supporting the growth of Lightcast’s alumni survey and first destination surveys.

Major Responsibilities:


  • Sales Performance: You will meet or exceed assigned targets for sales volume, market share and other key financial performance objectives.  You will identify and close sales opportunities, negotiate contracts with support from legal counsel and other internal stakeholders, as appropriate, for deal execution 
  • Sales Cycle Management:  Using a disciplined approach, successfully manage the full sales cycle for each opportunity from prospecting, qualifying, and nurturing the opportunity to presenting the offer, handling objections, and closing the sale.  You will be expected to maintain excellent notes and use company resources to facilitate sales enablement and offer exceptional client care 
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Demonstrating you always understand prospects and opportunities for sell,must be able toforecast with accuracy, successfully drive opportunities to closure while continually sustaining a pipeline

  • Though this is an early career role, you have the ability to work independently without constant supervision, with an open-mind and ability to accept feedback and coaching
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative professional and fun sales culture

Education and Experience:


  • 1-2 yrs of related sales experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)Experience with CRM’s such as Salesforce or SalesLoft
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience developing building relationships with colleagues and and clients
  • Experience with sales methods, like: cold calling, emailing, appointment setting, customer research, social selling, sales presentations and speaking to product offerings
  • Proficiency working with Google Office Suite, particularly Slides, Sheets and Docs.
