A quick run-down of the job
We are looking for a Smart Contract Lead to take charge of our smart contract operations across more than 20 EVM networks, ensuring their security, efficiency and seamless integration. In this role, you will manage the deployment, configuration, and development of new contracts, oversee the team’s efforts, and contribute to shaping our cross-chain infrastructure strategy. Your proactive approach to problem-solving, coupled with a strong leadership background, will be crucial in driving our smart contract initiatives forward.
You will be reporting directly to our CTO.
Please note: This role requires you to be located in EMEA or APAC. Your application will not be considered otherwise.

What you'll do
Lead and mentor a team of two experienced smart contract engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
Oversee and contribute to the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of 400+ smart contracts across 20+ EVM networks, ensuring security and optimal (gas) performance
Conduct regular code audits and implement industry best practices to maintain the highest security standards
Drive innovation and thought leadership by researching and integrating the latest technologies and attending relevant conferences, expanding our capabilities beyond EVM ecosystems
Collaborate closely with leadership and other department heads to shape our cross-chain infrastructure strategy and contribute to our overall technical vision
Provide continuous feedback and create personalised development plans for team members, helping them grow through constructive criticism, recognition of their achievements, and guiding their professional growth with the tools and opportunities needed for success
What makes a good candidate
Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and mentoring engineering teams
At least 7 years of software development experience with a focus on Solidity (at least 5 years)
Proficiency in YUL/Assembly and experience deploying smart contracts across multiple EVM networks
Solid experience in TypeScript (at least 3 years)
Meticulous and quality-driven, you ensure high-quality outputs in all aspects of your work
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction within the team and external stakeholders
Experience with non-EVM smart contract ecosystems and/or Huff programming is a plus
Experience working with/for a major DeFi protocol is a plus
Contributions to Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) or other blockchain initiatives are a plus
Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or Project Management are a plus
A degree in computer science or a related field is a plus
