About the role
Solo.io is on a mission to deliver the next generation of mission-critical cloud native application connectivity solutions to enterprises around the world. We are looking for a principal technical product marketing engineer to play a key role in helping Solo grow to its next stage. You’ll be responsible for leading all technical product marketing activities, working cross-functionally with teams from product, marketing, sales and engineering to help build highly valuable technical information for our customers and community.
Job Description
In this role you’ll work with cutting edge cloud native technology that is leading visionary change across the API, application networking and cloud services space. You’ll be responsible for in depth product research, develop insightful resources and help educate our customers and field teams with the latest trends and research. Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Design and develop comprehensive technical marketing strategy across multiple products and open source technologies in the cloud native ecosystem
- Create amazing technical content including blogs, labs, demos, and whitepapers
- Collaborate with product management to create compelling, differentiated product and technical messaging
- Develop and deliver technical enablement in combination with engineering for internal stakeholders (field engineering, customer success, etc.)
- Act as technical advocate and evangelist for our products with customers and the broader market
- Support product marketing with technical expertise and guidance across content, positioning, and messaging
- Act as a technical subject matter expert with a deep understanding of our customer and technology landscape
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of technical enablement and resources including sales kits, enablement presentations, demos, and battlecards
- Conduct in-depth analysis and research into competitors' products
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in cloud native, Kubernetes, API Gateway or similar technology Ability to develop, and product product focused materials including demonstration videos, labs, blogs Ability to present highly technical information to large internal and external audiencesExperience in conducting competitive product researchExperience in monitoring market trends and analyst reports
