Job Description:
We are looking for versatile engineers who are interested in architecting and implementing elegant software solutions and thrive with the autonomy to propose creative approaches to problems. Engineers will be in person in either our Fremont or Austin locations! Types of software you could work on:
- Implant firmware or embedded software
- Systems for manufacturing, analyzing, and testing the device
- Data platforms to collect, organize, and visualize a diverse set of data ranging from neural signal recordings to microfabrication manufacturing data
- Neurosurgical robot software
- Lab management system, our central collaboration hub for all teams within the company
- Software that interacts in real-time with our neural interfaces as well as other data acquisition systems to decode brain activity and interact with the environment
- On-prem & Cloud Infrastructure that enables the company to operate safely, robustly, and move at light-speed

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to design and implement simple and elegant software solutions
- Proven track record of shipping software with real-world impact
- Enthusiasm for technology and software
- Understanding of how systems work at a fundamental level
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Ruby, Python, and/or JavaScript
- Experience with C/C++/Rust
- Knowledge of container management and orchestration
- Experience with full-stack application frameworks like Ruby on Rails or Django
- Understanding of web development
- Experience in infrastructure development

$31.50/hr USDFor Full-Time Employees, your compensation package will include two major components: salary and equity. Guidance on salary for this role will be determined according to the level at which you enter the organization, with the ability to gain more over time as you contribute.
