Position Overview:
We are seeking a Data Engineer with PostgreSQL and data warehousing expertise to design, implement, and maintain database systems, handle ETL processes, and ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design and manage PostgreSQL databases for large, multidimensional datasets.
- Implement and optimize ETL processes for millions of data rows.
- Run long-duration batch processes.
- Perform QA on financial data sets.
- Build data pipelines and integrate systems.
- Collaborate on data warehouse solutions.
- Collaborate with the analytics team on project requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of PostgreSQL experience.
- Proficiency in SQL and database principles.
- Experience with ETL and data warehousing.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (e.g., facts, dimensions).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Python or Bash.
Preferred:
- Experience with healthcare data.
- Certifications in PostgreSQL or data warehousing.
- Knowledge of AWS database services.
- Snowflake experience.
