By leveraging the latest technology available, SWTCH is making EV charging possible for all buildings.With a growing base of clients, SWTCH is currently looking for opportunities to deepen our market penetration across North America.As one of our Bookkeepers, you will play a crucial role in supporting our growing finance team by managing day-to-day accounting tasks.
You will help ensure that our financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and you will contribute to our financial decision-making processes. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with up to two years of accounting experience who is looking to grow their career in a dynamic and fast-paced saas environment and is located in Canada
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records by entering and verifying transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Support the audit process by providing documentation and information as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Must be located in the GTA and be in the office a minimum of TWO days a week
- Up to 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based accounting systems.
- Knowledge of Canadian and US accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Basic understanding of SaaS business models and revenue recognition.
