Contract-to-Hire - API Integration Developer

Hyperproof integrates with a wide range of third-party SaaS products for some of the core functionality of our ComOps platform. We are looking for a talented API Integration Developer to join our dynamic team and build new integrations using our Hyperproof  SDK written in TypeScript. Your mission will be to connect, retrieve, and transform data from various third-party APIs, with a strong focus on quality, reliability and scalability.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations with third-party services using their web APIs.
  • Collaborate closely with our Product team to refine integration requirements based on customer needs and service API capabilities.
  • Ensure integrations are secure, scalable, and efficient.
  • Monitor integration performance and optimize as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues and bugs.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests for integrations.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of our SDK, providing valuable feedback and suggestions to improve its functionality and user-friendliness.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance our integration solutions and SDK capabilities to meet the needs of the platform and its customers.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • 1+ years experience as an API, Integration, or Backend Developer.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience in TypeScript or other strongly typed programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON.
  • Experience with SQL relational databases and SQL queries.
  • Basic knowledge of SOAP and GraphQL APIs.
  • Proven ability to solve complex software engineering and coding problems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including cross-functionally.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Demonstrated focus on quality and thorough testing.

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE


We understand that your time is valuable, and we want to ensure that you know what to expect from us during the interview process:

  • The process will start with a 20-minute initial chat with our Principal Talent & People Partner, followed by a Take-Home Assessment.
  • You will then have two one-hour individual meetings with members of our engineering team, including the hiring manager.
  • We expect you to invest around 4 hours of your time.

We are a fully remote company! Rather than restrict ourselves to only finding talent in one city, we’d rather find the absolute best people regardless of where they live. 

Hourly range is $35 - $40.
