The resulting high-quality solutions form the foundation for reliable supply chain management.What are we looking for?The Algorithm Research Specialist will be part of our product development team and work on enhancing and maintaining our existing product suite. The Algorithm Research Specialist will work closely with our Product Managers, other algorithm specialists and developers to add functionality and capabilities needed to address the evolving requirements of our global customer base, consisting of the largest and most respected manufacturers in the world. The nature of the work is highly challenging and rewarding, with the satisfaction of solving real-world problems and seeing your work “in action”.
The Algorithm Research Specialist must possess a high degree of proficiency in all the areas described below.
What will you do?
- Research and work on new product features: from requirements to design to specification and development
- Research and development of optimization algorithms
- Research and development on AI/ML features for the Optessa product
- Research and development of AI/ML based tools to improve internal productivity
- Interact with customers and project teams to identify and prioritize new product features
- Develop design schemes and develop algorithms to add features to the core system
- Prototype design alternatives
- Research, implement and test algorithms
- Specify algorithms in sufficient detail for developers in team
- Design test cases for validation and system verification
- Maintain code, troubleshoot any issues
- Monitor and enhance core systems for performance
- Document and communicate product features to project teams and customers
- Stay current with latest research and help with longer term product evolution
What do you bring:
- A PhD or MS/BS with equivalent experience in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or Math
- Proven ability to abstract, model and analyze real-world systems
- Experience with classical and heuristic optimization methods
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI)and Machine Learning (ML) applications
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies and processes
- Strong software skills, competence with Java
- Excellent communication skills
