What are we looking for?


We are looking for an Application Specialist, which is a key position within Optessa. An Application Specialist at Optessa has multiple avenues for career growth, including research in core algorithms, software development, implementation services, project management, as well as marketing and sales.Responsibilities of an Application Specialist covers the gamut of product development and deployment:

  • Analyze customer data 
  • Analyze work flows and business processes 
  • Configuring, testing, and tuning of customer scheduling models implemented in Optessa MLS
  • Training and support of Optessa MLS users
  • Setting up and presenting demonstration models to support sales
  • Product enhancement and research and development of new features and algorithms

The ideal candidate for an Application Specialist must first and foremost show engineering aptitude: the ability to independently solve problems. An engineering degree is a pre-requisite, as is the ability to work in a team. The ability to analyze work flows, create Use Case models and prepare detailed specifications is required. Computer programming skills are desirable. Occasional domestic and international travel is required. We are currently looking for engineers who can support our implementations in US, Mexico, South America, Asia and Europe, and assist and train our customers there. Additionally, knowledge of Spanish, Chinese or Japanese would be a bonus.The positions are based in our New Jersey location, currently in Hazlet.

Training in Optessa products and implementation processes will be provided. What We Offer
