About The Job


Self Financial is looking for a Sr. Program Manager to support the Technology Operations team to define, organize, and execute strategic initiatives across multiple departments and teams. A successful candidate demonstrates the fundamentals of capturing and facilitating the prioritization of business goals with the desire to establish and mature Self’s program management capabilities.

What you will be doing:


  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and communicating/securing resources for strategic initiatives
  • Owning project delivery to best drive impact Self and our customers
  • Managing programs of work across our Technical Operations teams for R&D. Examples include updates to the portfolio management , onboarding of new 3rd party partners or tools, and leading complex, multi-dependent process or system updates that include across our technology platform.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders and resource managers to delegate project tasks to teammates best positioned to complete them
  • Identifying and managing potential risks, liabilities, and dependencies of multiple projects
  • Assisting in the definition of project scope, goals and outcomes for the R&D org
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Driving project coordination across multiple stakeholders, including Product, Engineering,, Operations, Risk and Compliance
  • Communicating status updates to executive team
  • Identifying and solutioning problems with ability to solve independently or assembling a group of SMEs

What you bring:


  • 6+ years in a software business
  • 7+ years project / initiative management experience preferred
  • 7+ years working with external partners / vendors preferred
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong business problem solving mindset
  • High emotional quotient (EQ) and ability to build rapport with team members and stakeholders
  • Strong ability to adapt and excel in a fast-moving, startup environment

Tools & Systems:

  • Atlassian Enterprise Suite (Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence, etc.)
  • LucidChart (or similar process mapping tools)
  • G-Suite & Slack (or similar communication platforms)

Bonus Certifications:


  • PMI or similar certifications in project or program management
  • Agile or scrum certifications

Base salary range: $ 135,000-150,000 annually.  Individual pay is based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and other job-related reasons.
