Associate Product Designer (UX/UI)

To date, we’ve connected two million people and 5,000 gyms in over 95 countries.As an Associate Product Designer for Wodify, you will be an integral part of our small but growing product team.
You’ll work collaboratively with leadership, designers, developers, PMs, and customer success on the challenge of designing powerful, customizable software that allows gyms to manage their business the way they want while still being intuitive and straightforward to use. It won’t be easy, but it’s a huge market and one Wodify is ready to win. This is an associate role and a great opportunity for someone with few years of UX/UI experience outside of school to learn a ton while working with a great team on an interesting and challenging project.
A Day in the Life:
- Collaborate with the customer success and product management teams to understand current product usage and pain points
- Conduct weekly design reviews with Lead Designer, Product Managers and stakeholders
- Conduct user research and customer feedback to better understand the product and users
- Competitive analysis of similar products, looking for patterns and best-practices
- Design UIs for both desktop and mobile, for both gym owners and athletes
- Explore many design options and iterate on them based on internal and external feedback
- Provide articulate, thoughtful feedback to other members of the design team
- Build and usability test clickable prototypes of new features - iterating on the design until it’s easy to use
- Share our new designs with the entire company, explaining the rationale and impact
- Write specifications for developers and support them as they build the features
- Manually test new features to make sure they work as intended
- Work in a highly collaborative fashion with the product, customer success, and engineering teams
- Consider all parts of the experience, from copy to animations to business model, when designing
- Support marketing with graphics and screenshots
- Help keep organized and up-to-date Figma files using our design system
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 2+ years of product design experience of complex software or web applications after college
- Strong portfolio a must (candidates without demonstrated software design experience will not be considered)
- Attention to detail and focus on delivering easy-to-use applications
- An interest in learning and growing your UX skills
- Can reduce complex problems down to the right balance of flexibility, power, and ease of use
- Technical understanding of web and mobile app technologies including things like responsive design, strong focus on mobile experiences and how they differ to desktop
- Experienced in user research and usability testing but also have the ability to move quickly based on known requirements
- Keep iterating on your work until all details are attended to
- Skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions
- Comfortable designing based on limited business requirements and open to iterative feedback to help our company produce its best work
- Think in systems and are able to extrapolate and extend shared patterns and behaviors
- Collaborative work style, growth mindset, and get-it-done attitude
Education & Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
