Summary
The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all Shopify-based e-commerce solutions meet our rigorous standards for quality, functionality, and user experience. This role involves collaborating with developers, designers, project managers/account managers, and strategists to identify potential issues and implement testing procedures that ensure our products are free of defects and provide an excellent user experience.
What will I be doing?
- Testing new features and builds ahead of deployment.
- Checking deployments to ensure new features are working as intended.
- Perform manual testing on various devices and browsers to ensure compatibility.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using our project management tools.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Submitting comprehensive reports on identified bugs and issues.
- Conduct performance testing to ensure the Shopify stores perform optimally under different conditions.
- Assess the user experience and ensure that all elements of the Shopify stores are intuitive and meet the client’s requirements.
- Providing QA guidance and actively participating in SCRUM ceremonies, sharing your expertise to support and enhance team performance.
Requirements
What do I need?
- Stay up-to-date with the latest QA methodologies and tools to continuously improve the QA process.
- Extensive experience within the Shopify admin, in particular the Shopify customiser.
- Minimum of 3 years of QA experience, preferably in an e-commerce or Shopify-focused environment.
- Proficiency in manual testing tools, and test case writing tool (Qase.io).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Smoke testing experience/background (preferred).
- Regression testing experience/background (preferred).
- Test cases writing experience/background (preferred)
- Strong understanding of Shopify liquid templating language (preferred)
- Extensive experience within the Shopify third party apps (preferred)
