Position Summary:
The Director of Home Improvement Professionals serves a pivotal role, responsible for spearheading the expansion of our network through strategic engagement and partnership development of Home Improvement Service Providers. This position is instrumental in identifying and cultivating relationships with Service Providers, tradespeople, and professionals, introducing them to the advantages of HouseAmp's innovative lending and payment platform. The Director of Strategic Business Partnerships will not only showcase our dynamic services but also demonstrate how collaboration with HouseAmp, and its community of partners, will be the catalyst for their business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements strategies that drive increased engagement from new and existing Home Improvement Professionals.
- Communicate the value proposition of HouseAmp, ensuring that prospective partners understand the distinct benefits and potential for mutual growth.

- Demonstrates a proactive approach to partnership building by reaching out to business owners and service providers.
- Works closely and collaborates with internal teams to align partnership strategies with overall business objectives ensuring a cohesive approach to market expansion, messaging, positioning, and strategies.
- Monitors industry trends and competitive landscapes, adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge and capitalize on new market opportunities.
- Responsible for setting clear partnership goals, developing metrics to measure success, and reporting on progress to senior leadership.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex negotiations, and drive strategic decisions.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field plus a proven track record of seven or more years’ experience in a business development or related role.
- Extensive experience in business development and strategic partnerships, with a proven ability to deliver results and drive growth.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build and maintain strong relationships, and the persuasive communication skills necessary to articulate the vision and value of HouseAmp to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of market analysis, competitive strategy, and value proposition articulation.
- A natural connector with a knack for building rapport quickly and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity in a rapidly evolving start-up environment.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills to oversee multiple partnership initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and close deals.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Adept at problem solving and decision making.

- Experience with firms that have helped service providers offer lending programs would be a plus.

- Master’s degree in business, or related field
- Prior experience in home improvement industry, entrepreneurship, or in the trades
- Prior experience in a start-up environment
